Strangely quiet on this fogless 4am morning. The usual bangs and whirs of garbage trucks is missing, as is the glass rattle of a shopping cart being pushed east on Geary. Seven or eight or ten SFPD cruisers drive around, all of them observing traffic laws and slipping away like wraiths. There have been no sirens from the nearby hospital, fire station, or police station. I think the city is actually asleep, if only briefly.
This happens Every Fucking Month. AT&T insists that my account is “past due.” You can see from the screenshot that the bill is not due until the 23rd of this month yet today is only the 18th of this month. You can also see when they received my last payment. FTR, the autopay is set up such that if the due date is on a non-business day they get their payment by the previous business day. Every month they get their fucking money two days before the bill is due. Fuck you, AT&T, I’ve never been past due.
